hello there! oh well medyo naging busy din ako last year so ako po eh nagbabalik sa piling ninyo although nababasa ko naman lahat ng mga updates ninyo.
About the kwento na di mai-kwento ni ryJoy is about Lowell. Last Nov. manong was admitted to the hospital in Illinois. At first he thought it was a severe migraine until he nearly lost his vision(left eye) dinala sya sa E.R , yun pala aneurysm so na-admit sya sa ICU for observation (he was conscious which is good)... he stayed in ICU for 5 days until they got the MRI result and it's AVM arteriovascularmalformation. The Dr. said it's an inborn na-aggravate lang kase nag we-weight lifting sya (for 2 years now) buti nga naagapan ang bleeding but it's still there and anytime it may burst, kaya yun he's taking anti-hypertensive drugs. They have 4 options according to the neurosurgeon, 1) leave it as it is, 2) radiation tx, the recurrence is 80%,
3)ligation, which is not good, 4)surgery, they will remove the vein, sinlaki nga raw ng apple. the chance is 85 - 15. Mahirap din ang surgery although wala ngang recurrence pero yun 15% naman dun sya natatakot. They will do 3 embolization before the surgery on March. Today is his 1st embolization, di ko pa sya nate-text, ayaw nya ako kausapin naiiyak daw sya. Matagal ko na silang di nakikita since 1999 pa. Si Ethelyn (she's in Seattle) nagpunta dun nung nasa ICU si manong tapos babalik sya before surgery and hopefully magrant ako ng visa before the operation, I really want to see them.
